Position Summary
Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Security Worker will protect and provide security for the hostel facility and parking lot, as well as other SLFNHA properties.
Qualifications
- Persons of First Nations ancestry will be given preference (OHRC, Part II, Special Employment).
- Ability to communicate in one of the First Nations dialects in the Sioux Lookout Zone is an asset.
- Written and oral communication skills acceptable to the employer that meet the requirements of the role of Worker – Security.
- Completion of security training / Provincial security licensing/police sciences would be a definite asset.
- Experience in security would be preferred; complete training and support will be provided.
- Knowledge of Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention would be an asset; training will be provided.
- Experience in frontline customer service working in a fast‑paced environment.
