Summary The Woodcrafter is assigned to the General Support Shop, Engineering Service Line, Dorn Veterans Medical Center, Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, Columbia, SC. This position receives direct supervision from the Supervisory Maintenance Mechanic, with second level supervision from the Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist. Responsibilities Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Layout and Construction of Projects: Performs interior and exterior building operations, repair and maintenance work. Plans and completes projects involving the construction, alteration, repairing, and/or modifying of framework, rafters, doors and hardware, finished paneling, windows, rough furniture, interior/exterior trim, staircases, trusses and beams; spacing, accuracy and fit are essential to the structural soundness or appearances.
