Position Overview

The Maintenance employee must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. The maintenance employee job requires maintaining rolling stock, sprinkler systems, shavings bin, general maintenance throughout mill, diagnose and repair sawmill and other equipment. There maybe occasional weekend and night duty. At times exposed to the elements. Requires to clean up oil spills from equipment in shop, parts removal after installing new parts and keep shop clean. This position requires a self-motivated individual willing to work safely in a team based system. They need to have the ability to schedule their work, prioritize their work load, and complete tasks in a timely manner. Good troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis skills are required to make proper repairs. Preventive and predictive skills are required to keep equipment running safe and efficient.
