Internal Audit department, Asia Pacific Division (IADAP) of SMBC is responsible for the audits of SMBC units and activities in Asia Pacific region, assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control system, governance, risk management frameworks, operations and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

With the expansion of APAC business and the broadened mandate to include Securities group companies under the parent holding company, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG), IADAP requires additional staff to execute the audit plan in a timely and precise manner.
