The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps employers make safer recruitment decisions by processing and issuing DBS checks for England, Wales, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. DBS also prevents unsuitable people from working with children and/or vulnerable adults through its barring function.

Role Summary

The Vetting Manager is a multifunctional role that requires confidence working in any of the following areas: Team Leader, Trainer, and Decision Maker, as directed by the DBS Force Disclosure Manager. The post holder will provide strong leadership and decision‑making skills, supporting the Disclosure Unit to meet legislative obligations and Service Level Agreements for Enhanced DBS Certificates and Barring Requests, thereby protecting children and vulnerable adults through the Statutory Disclosure Regime.
