Job Competencies:

-Knowledge of basic animal care and handling including restraint 

-Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy, and abbreviations

-Basic computer skills, problem-solving and communication skills 

-Knowledge of proper medical record keeping (paper and electronic)

-Able to calculate chemotherapy does and prepare and administer.

-Ability to place a long and jugular catheter.

-Understand chemotherapy and radiation safety protocol.

-Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills and explain procedures to clients.

-Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

-Ability to perform and teach procedures to students
