The TransEd Valley Line LRT is the first piece of the Valley Line project in Edmonton. Connecting Millwoods to downtown Edmonton, the valley line allows commuters to go from the southeast of Edmonton to anywhere the LRT stops.

A typical day for the LRV Technician

Conduct regular inspections of all LRV equipment, ensuring that all equipment is performing properly

Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on LRV equipment.

Follow diagnostic procedures and repair faulty equipment

Record and report all work orders and the execution/completion in the appropriate MMIS.

Investigate and record all incidents of electromechanical equipment/subsystem failures and perform preliminary troubleshooting; contact engineering or the supplier for a solution if necessary.

Participate in investigations of failures and assist engineering with analysis.
