A London-based insurance organisation is seeking an Underwriting Manager (12 Month FTC) to support underwriting performance, governance, and reporting within a Lloyd’s syndicate environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the production of internal and external underwriting reports, ensuring all regulatory returns are accurate and delivered on time
• Manage and develop analysts within the Underwriting Management team
• Ensure underwriting controls and policy documentation remain effective and compliant with evolving regulations
• Take ownership of the year-end audit process, liaising with auditors and resolving queries efficiently
• Drive continuous improvement across underwriting processes, reporting, and controls
• Support strategic projects to enhance underwriting capabilities, insights, and analytics
