DESCRIPTION

Nurses provide care for patients with surgical needs by assessing, planning and implementing the care that patients receive preoperatively, intraoperatively and postoperatively. They perform patient assessments, create and maintain sterile and safe environments, give preoperative and postoperative teachings, monitor physiologic and psychological statuses, integrate and coordinate care across settings and among disciplines, and provide patient advocacy and efficient provision of resources.

Must have a minimum of 2 years of current OR circulator experience and uphold the mandatory BCLS certification. Preferred certification for CORN.
