Summary About the Position: Serves as a Transportation Specialist within SDDC at Battalion level. Position provides customers with technical transportation guidance and cargo movement support while using a wide variety of transportation and distribution services for the movement of international and intermodal shipments. Responsibilities Interpret and implement cargo plans, making adjustments when warranted to provide an efficient flow of cargo through the terminal. Act as transportation liaison with commercial carriers, military and civilian federal agencies, local authorities, customer liaisons, and the staff. Provide technical instruction to employees on cargo management functions involving Import and Export documentation. Monitor shippers, carriers, and outside agencies data input into transportation systems.
