Position Overview
Summary:
- Location: Onsite in Alliance, NE
- Shift: 2nd: Monday - Friday (02:00 PM - 10:00 PM [Lunch: 06:00 PM - 06:30 PM])
Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory and control metrics in a 24/7 shop environment.
- Pull materials from the warehouse for shop use and ensure correct issuance.
- Manage stockouts and update estimated times of arrival for parts.
- Perform daily cycle counts to correct inventory inconsistencies.
- Forecast material needs for inbound and in-shop locomotives.
- Perform quality control on inbound and outbound shipments.
- Arrange LTL and Expedite shipments using the Ryder portal.
- Use multiple software programs to order, receive, ship, and track materials.
- Read mechanical drawings to determine needed materials.
