While working as a member of the Transport Team, the Transport Paramedic provides care to patients in various critical care departments under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Reports to department leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Assists in stabilization care and transport of ill and injured children to CHKD or other designated facilities from referring hospitals.
- Responsible for the safe operation of Mobile Intensive Care Units.
- Performs technical patient care activities and procedures necessary for stabilization and transport.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS - Current certification in the state of Virginia as an EMT-P with technical proficiency and experience in providing pre-hospital Advance Life Support measures.
