*About the MassDOT Rail & Transit Division* The MassDOT Rail & Transit Division oversees the Commonwealth’s passenger rail, freight rail, and Regional Transit Authorities (RTAs). The Division manages state-supported Amtrak services, capital investments, federal and state grant programs, transit operations outside Greater Boston, and partnerships with key stakeholders across New England. *Position Summary* The MassDOT Rail and Transit Division oversees the Commonwealth's 15 Regional Transit Authorities, MassDOT's freight and passenger rail program and works closely with the MBTA.
