An Instructional Designer creates engaging and effective learning experiences by designing educational materials, courses, and training programs. They work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to ensure content aligns with learning objectives and meets the needs of the target audience.
- Define and document clear learning objectives
- Conduct needs assessments and learner analysis
- Collaborate with SMEs to gather and validate content
- Design and develop instructional materials (eLearning, manuals, guides)
- Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
- Create multimedia content (videos, simulations, interactive modules)
- Develop assessments to measure learning outcomes
- Maintain and update course materials for relevance and accuracy
- Integrate content into Learning Management Systems (LMS)
