Job Summary:
In this role, the successful candidate will serve as a trusted legal advisor to The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG) physicians, executives, managers, administrators, and Human Resources professionals. The selected candidate will provide strategic employment law counsel and independently manage a broad range of complex legal matters, including employee relations issues, EEO complaints, leave and disability accommodations, wage and hour compliance, immigration matters, and other workplace-related legal risks.
This position requires the ability to assess legal exposure, develop practical risk-mitigation strategies, and provide clear, business-focused guidance in a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing policies, agreements, contracts, and other legal documents; overseeing workplace investigations; and managing pre-litigation and litigation matters in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
