Powell People Solving Tough Problems

Based out of the Electrical Division Edmonton (EDE) location, the Third Year Apprentice Welder will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor of the Fabrication department. The Apprentice Welder will use a variety of welding processes and tools to produce precision parts and to construct Powell Canada products.

Essential Responsibilities

+ Fit-up Weldment per required mechanical engineered drawing and Product Specifications.

+ Work with small hand tools, clamps and grinders to fit-up and weld structural steel or sheet metal products.

+ Produce a variety of products, to meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing.

+ From the drawing, determine where each weld is to be performed and to meet the size and length requirements of each weld specified within the given tolerance allowed.

+ Measuring and marking sheet metal according to drawings or templates.
