Description: EEG Technologists perform EEGs and assist Neurologists and Neuro Technologists with the performance of EMGs, clinic visits, and other clinical aspects of the department.

Responsibilities

• Assists Neuro Tech with NCVs and other clinical aspects of the department.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of neurology and electroencephalography.
• Explains testing procedures for the EEG to the patient and family.
• Keeps equipment clean and in proper working order. Makes appropriate adjustments to settings, etc., to obtain accurate results.
• Obtains accurate and concise patient histories.
• Prepares patients and equipment for requested examinations and performs EEGs according to standards of the laboratory, resulting in high-quality EEG exams.
• Produces accurate and complete EEG reports with emphasis on clinical observations.
