Job Summary:
The CVOR CST provides specialized surgical support in the operating room, supporting complex cardiovascular procedures with a focus on safe, efficient first-assist preparation and turnover. This role requires Level 1 Trauma experience and strong competency in high-acuity cardiac cases.
Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons by preparing instruments, supplies, and sterile fields for CVOR cases.
• Perform first-assist responsibilities during cardiovascular procedures as trained and credentialed.
• Support safe intraoperative workflow through accurate counting, handling, and specimen management.
• Prepare for advanced cases including CABG, mitral valve replacement, VAD management, and ECMO support.
• Maintain strict sterile technique and adhere to perioperative safety and infection prevention standards.
