TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in Doncaster that supports children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The setting provides a structured and nurturing environment, with a strong focus on behaviour support, emotional regulation and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour, both inside and outside the classroom, using de-escalation techniques, positive behaviour strategies and building strong, trusting relationships to encourage engagement in learning.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• The ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations
