The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the installation's Family Advocacy Officer (FAO) directly supervising a staff consisting of social worker(s) and may also include a registered nurse and support personnel. Integrates and organizes the Family Advocacy Program (FAP). Responsibilities Carries out program management responsibility for the installation Family Advocacy Program (FAP), ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meeting customer needs. Holds primary responsibility for installation FAP executive functions. Represents FAP to (or on behalf of) the installation, group, squadron leadership through multiple installation and functional area organizations.
