Position Overview
Responsibilities - Supervise daily steel fabrication and erection activities, ensuring work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and enforce all HSE policies on work sites.
- Distribute work assignments to foremen, fitters, and welders, monitoring daily progress against production targets.
- Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors for joint fit-up and weld visual inspections.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy/requirements are constantly monitored.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and equipment upkeeping in the assigned work areas.
- Track daily manpower attendance and manage overtime requests.
Requirements - Technical certificate or Diploma; welding inspector certifications (e.g., CSWIP) is a plus.
- At least 5-8 years working experience as a structural/steel supervisor in a shipyard.
