EW Staff Editors are responsible for coordinating breaking news content and other features.

A successful Staff Editor will be a team player who has excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, as well as a deep love and knowledge of entertainment and pop culture. This role will play a key part in supporting Entertainment Weekly’s East Coast news operation, helping the team stay competitive in the fast-moving daily news cycle by identifying breaking stories, guiding coverage decisions and ensuring timely, high-quality execution. In addition to covering news of the day, they will work closely with the rest of the team, suggesting story ideas, and pitching unique ways to advance a story. Successful candidates will be able to guide writers as they produce well-reported and engaging content under tight deadlines.
