Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting in the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting and reporting of consolidated business results, and the integrity of the general ledger.
Essential Job Functions:

+ Prepare monthly journal entries.

+ Prepare monthly account reconciliations, as assigned, to verify accuracy of account balances.

+ Assist with variance analysis and provide explanations for fluctuations in financial results.

+ Responsible for sending positive pay files to the bank.

+ Maintain accurate cash balances and record daily activity.

+ Assist with the Consolidated Fiscal Report, 990s, and other government related reports.
