**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

As our Senior Physician Assistant you will provide first assist for open heart, thoracic and vascular surgeries, and second assist performing endovascular vein harvest for CABG and vascular cases.

Every day you will provide daily rounds, post operative care to include ICU and telemetry stepdown unit patient care. The PA is responsible for pre/post op orders and patient discharges.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have good communication skills to speak with other physicians for necessary consults.

+ Take an appropriate history, make an assessment and perform an appropriate physical examination for those patients initially admitted to the hospital or seen in consultation by the Supervising Physician(s). Record pertinent data in a manner meaningful to the Supervising Physician(s) and other healthcare providers.
