The Speech Pathologist (Per Diem) provides acute care services to patients of all ages-from pediatric to geriatric within the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Under the direction of the Chief Speech Pathologist, this position evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a wide range of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. The Speech Pathologist collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care across the continuum of recovery. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide treatment for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in acute care settings.
• Perform instrumental swallowing assessments, including FEES and VFSS, as indicated.
