• Reviews and evaluates physician’s referral and patient/patient’s medical records to determine therapy treatment required. • Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of available patient/patient data. • Confers with physician and other health practitioners to obtain additional patient/patient information, suggests revisions in treatment programs, and integrates therapy treatment with other aspects of patient/patient care. • Records patient/patient treatment, response, and progress. • Assists the administrator and medical director in planning of speech therapy services, as needed. • May instruct and supervise the clinical portion of training for students participating in speech therapist programs. • Diagnoses and evaluates speech and language competencies of individuals, including assessment of speech, language, swallowing, cognitive and communication and aural skills as related to educational, medical, s...
