As a Specimen Collection Technician, you will manage the entire specimen collection journey. This includes greeting patients, performing phlebotomies, and ensuring all specimens are ready for testing. Your role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of service and accuracy in documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and collect necessary information
• Conduct phlebotomies and perform ECG tracings
• Handle medical and legal test specimens diligently
• Document patient data and requests in the system
• Prepare specimens for testing and transportation
Requirements:
• Approved Laboratory Assistant program graduate preferred
• Experience in phlebotomy or ECG ideal
• Excellent communication and typing skills
• Strong focus on patient service and empathy
