UHD requires a Geriatric Medicine Speciality Doctor to fulfil the roles within our Older People’s Services and Acute Care directorate. The post holder will be predominantly ward‑based and gain a wide range of experience with on‑call work 8 PA sessions per week.

Main duties of the job

• Work alongside specialty doctors and trainee Geriatric registrars to provide care to inpatients, including new admissions.
• Supervise and support junior medical colleagues, physicians associates and advanced nurse practitioners/advanced clinical practitioners.
• Attend ward multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to educational sessions and clinical governance meetings.
