About the role

Systems Engineer – responsible for bridging the gap between systems engineering and software development for Leonardo’s defence and aerospace products. The role supports deployed and in‑development systems, including mission programming and analysis tools for RAF aircraft and export customers such as Typhoon and Apache, as well as next‑generation tools for the Tempest Aircraft under the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to define requirements for new systems.
• Conduct cost and functional performance trade‑offs and evaluate proposed solutions.
• Enhance capabilities and performance of in‑service systems.
• Design and integrate new functionality into existing systems.
• Design and conduct testing and trials to prove equipment function and performance.
