Position Summary
Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in The Signal, English department. Start Date
Position available on or after June 15, 2026, and ending on or before August 31, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
Job Description/Duties
Duties include but are not limited to: Produce photos, videos, and graphics to support the editorial mission of the Signal.
Contribute a minimum of 5 original stories to the Signal per semester (3 photo essays, 2 videos).
Provide ongoing instruction to editors and reporters.
Conduct instructional workshops as needed for reporters.
Create infographics as needed.
Contribute to story budget production and updates.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Attend weekly staff meetings.
