***This position will be physically located in The Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP***
Under the Supervision and direction of the Lead Welder, the Shipfitter/Welder IV lays out and fabricates metal structural parts, such as plates, bulkheads, and frames bracing them in position with the hull of a ship for riveting or welding. Working from blueprints or templates and using a scribe and hand tools, lays of position of parts on metal

Responsibilities

+ Mig/Tig aluminum welding;

+ Fabricate and weld on all parts requiring repair on an aluminum hulled, 75' Catamaran;

+ Apply appropriate welding process to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal and aluminum or other materials that will complete the On Condition Cyclic Maintenance of the vessel;
