Our client is seeking an experienced SHEQ Officer to join the Port Elizabeth team,

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain SHE systems in compliance with:
  • Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993)
  • Environmental legislation and permits
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Identify hazards and ensure effective control measures are implemented
• Facilitate incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Maintain SHE records, registers, and statutory documentation
• Coordinate medical surveillance and fitness-for-duty requirements
• Ensure correct use of PPE and enforce site safety rules
• Assist with emergency preparedness and response planning
