Job Description

Responsible for managing the activities of a group of Underwriters. Oversees the decision process for the group and monitors decisions to ensure systems and workflow meet appropriate standards. Selects and accepts major risks on behalf of the company and assists in the planning and control of the department. Assesses complex situations involving greatest risk, approves or denies applications within company guidelines on own discretion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations in response to proposals received for credit insurance cover.
• Issue policy documents for accepted quotations.
• Review existing policies regularly to assess credit risks.
• Ensure smooth administration of policies by promptly addressing correspondence, emails, and telephone calls from branches, policyholders, brokers, and other parties.
