Overview Job Summary The A*STAR High Containment Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) Facility supports research and diagnostic work involving Risk Group 3 pathogens such as mpox virus, avian influenza, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. We are looking for a motivated Biosafety Officer to support biosafety operations and contribute to Singapore’s pandemic preparedness efforts.
Responsibilities - Support the development and implementation of biosafety policies, SOPs, and guidelines
- Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with biosafety requirements
- Monitor adherence to approved biosafety practices and follow up on any gaps
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities on biosafety matters
- Support facility certification activities, inspections, and emergency preparedness exercises
