The Senior Radiologic Technologist independently provides knowledge and competence in a variety of diagnostic imaging technologies. Performs and conducts moderate-to-complex diagnostic radiology procedures using operating radiographic equipment. Performs a variety of diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures to reach a medical diagnosis and decision. Ensures that equipment is constantly functional and ready for immediate use. Maintains records and reports on equipment, procedures performed, and billing. Works under the guidance of Radiologists; participates in the resident training program and may be responsible for specific areas of instruction in the training of Radiology students, house staff, or others, in diagnostic imaging procedures, protocols, and equipment and/or safety issues.
