A BTech in Information Technology or equivalent qualification.

At least 3-5 years’ experience in Cisco Network (LAN, WAN and Wireless) Deployment, Configuration, and Support / in CCNA / HCIA (International certified).

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

Ensure that enterprise network infrastructure planning is aligned with the Departmental Operation Plan (DOP) and the Institutional Operational Plan.

Implement enterprise network strategies for Disaster Recovery.

Plan, implement and configure scalable, resilient, network infrastructure solutions and related technologies according to business requirements, with a specific focus on data centre technologies.

Maintain CPUT’s network infrastructure according to agreed service standards, including capacity, performance and availability, as well as providing second-line support on deployed network technologies.
