Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Operations, the Senior Estimator is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates, including subcontractor pricing, for mechanical scopes of work. This role performs detailed quantity take‑offs from construction drawings and prepares labour, equipment, and material estimates for rotating equipment, boiler, piping, and welding work in accordance with established estimating processes and procedures.

This position can be based in the Edmonton, AB office.

Responsibilities

• Solicit supplier quotations for material, equipment and sub‑trade quotations, whether internal to Stuart Olson or from external approved suppliers.
• Attend pre‑tender meetings, site walk‑down meetings, estimate reviews and tender closing.
• Prepare detailed, accurate, professional estimates by calculating material quantity take‑offs, equipment and labour rates for tender verification, using industry standard estimating norms, ...
