Senior Azure SQL Database Administrator position for a leading client.

Responsibilities

Monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks using Query Store and execution plans, tuning queries, and addressing resource contention. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application-database interactions and reduce latency. Includes capacity planning, scaling strategies, and root cause analysis for critical incidents.

Deep expertise in Azure SQL PaaS, including understanding of system limitations, resource models (DTU/vCore), Hyperscale architecture, and best practices for performance tuning and scalability.
