To provide high-quality teaching, support, and intervention for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The SEN Teacher ensures all pupils can access the curriculum, make progress, and develop social, emotional, and communication skills within a safe, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEND.
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans, including Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
- Use a range of teaching methods and resources to support learning (visual, auditory, kinaesthetic, multisensory).
- Adapt curriculum materials to ensure accessibility for pupils with varying needs.
- Track and assess pupil progress, adjusting instruction based on ongoing assessments.
