The John Radcliffe Theatre Department is looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Deputy Team Leader, scrub nurse/ ODP to join our team of highly skilled scrub practitioners. The John Radcliffe Main Operating Theatre Department is a theatre unit where routine and emergency surgery (general, gynae, spinal) takes place, predominately for adults. It is a tertiary referral centre for vascular surgery and a major trauma centre.

Main duties of the job

We have one Band scrub vacancy within our JR Theatre department

  • Develop the ability to work effectively at a more senior level,

  • Develop the ability to make effective decisions based on all available information and guide the rest of the theatre team to deliver high quality care to our patients,

  • Develop negotiating and motivational skills,

  • Actively participate in the development of yourself and other staff (includes the appraisal process, sickness...
