North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for dynamic and enthusiastic registered Nurses and Midwives who want to progress their career in public health nursing. This 13‑month apprenticeship programme is 50% taught theory and 50% practice, leading to a PGDip/BSc (Hons) Specialist Community Public Health Nursing Degree. Successful completion may lead to an interview for a substantive Health Visiting post within the Trust.
The apprenticeship involves placements in Warrington and at the University, with a focus on the Healthy Child Programme and community public health practice. You will learn to work in partnership with others to prevent health and wellbeing risks, and to apply local and national policies in everyday practice.
