Overview of Position
Under general supervision, assesses communication skills and provides appropriate intervention for students in accordance with District policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
Organizes and maintains a system for identifying students with communication problems; determines through evaluation procedures the level of the communication skills of those students referred for testing; records evaluation results and writes reports, if needed. Refers students whose communication problems require additional evaluation and/or intervention by other professionals; completes required documentation and maintains compliance with school district procedures and state and federal laws.
