About this unit

This is a 29 bed Level 3 neonatal critical care unit, caring for neonates 28 weeks and up. NICU has a very team like atmosphere. A Neonatologist and NNP are on the unit 24 hours a day. Nursing participates in many nursing councils across the hospital. NICU nurses are NRP certified and attend all high-risk deliveries in labor and delivery. NICU nurses along with a multidisciplinary team participate in transporting infants from neighboring hospitals to Beaumont Dearborn's NICU.
