The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while embracing the core values of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
- Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
- Participate in the patient rehabilitation program on assigned units.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
- Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to care providers.
