POSITION SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse (RNs) works to promote good health and prevent illness.Educates parent(s)/guardians about various medical conditions.Treats patients and help in their rehabilitationProvides advice and emotional support to patients' families.RNs use considerable judgment in providing a wide variety of services.Focuses on the overall care of patients by administering medications under the supervision of doctors and keep records of symptoms and progress.May supervise licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and Patient Care Techs.May perform charge nurse duties.Assess and care for newborns.Perform hearing screenings on newborns, CCHD, PKU, TCB, and all other necessary newborn screenings.Administer phototherapy on newborns per facility policy.Know and recognize newborn abnormalities.
