Position Overview
Duties
- Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
- Support professional nursing practice across various settings and the continuum of care to meet patient and family needs.
- Function within the Client Nursing Professional Practice Model, ensuring accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
- Provide leadership through activities such as preceptor roles, informal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
- Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource adequacy.
- Possess excellent communication skills and be skillful in mentoring and teaching.
- Participate on committees or projects as needed.
