Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory care procedures as per established policy and procedures, i.e., if required under the direction of senior staff and physicians.
• Assumes responsibility for operating autonomously utilizing critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Oversees and highlights shortages of materials to senior staff or supervisor at the earliest convenience, ordering replenishments when necessary.
• Participates in the development and modification of respiratory care management plans and therapeutic goals for patients with cardiopulmonary diseases in consultation with physicians.
• Assists the physician and Code Team in cardiac respiratory arrest situations.
• Provides advanced emergency airway care according to the approved protocol.
• Performs or assists with pulmonary and sleep diagnostic procedures as required.
