Job Summary

Provides personal care assistance, instruction, and promotes independence and quality of life for residents. The Residential Aide also performs a variety of household tasks essential to the operation and cleanliness of the group home.


Essential Functions

+ Assists and instructs residents with ADL’s and personal care, according to each resident’s care guidelines.

+ Monitors the health of residents and reports any signs of residents’ illness to the supervisor or designated medical staff. Attends staff meetings, resident care conferences, and in-service education programs as assigned.


+ Dispenses and charts medication according to each resident’s medication chart. Administers tube feedings, dressing changes, and assists with other medical care under RN supervision/direction as needed.
