About the Department
GSECARS is one of three sectors managed by the University of Chicago Center for Advanced Radiation Sources (CARS) at the Advanced Photon Source (APS), Argonne National Laboratory. GSECARS is a national user facility for synchrotron radiation research in earth, planetary, and environmental science, and part of a nation-wide organization of such facilities supporting Synchrotron Earth and Environmental Science (SEES).
