Research Engineer - Magnetic Devices (all genders)

Position Overview

The team for Magnetic Microsystems and Technologies (MMT) at Silicon Austria Labs is looking for a motivated Research Engineer. In this role, you will make a significant contribution to the Research Unit's projects and take responsibility for challenging tasks with a growing degree of independence and decision-making freedom. You will continuously develop your expertise while providing growing support to the team and its research activities.

Your future tasks include:

  • Develop electronic hardware and system architectures, program microcontrollers, and design and implement interfaces.
  • Support the assembly, integration, testing, validation, and fabrication of components, prototypes, and functional demonstrator systems in close collaboration with our electronics team.
  • Design and simulate magnetic devices and sensor systems using state-of-the-art commercial software such as ANSYS and COMSOL, as well as open-source tools including Magpylib...
